Nice view from the top, rather long way to go there. If you're just doing the walk for the view I would recommend to visit other castles, if you love the combination of walking and enjoying the view it is a good all round package

Awesome place to hike up to! Yes I said hike! Although Google will say you can drive... you can't! Totally worth it!!

This castle ruin has a very beautiful view, but the castle itself isn't much. It is not reachable by car, and the walk to the top is quite challenging. However, compared with the other castle within 5 minutes of this one, it is definately worth it.

A beautiful place and a very pleasant walk to it. You cant enter the castle, but there is a panoramic terrace which offers great views to the Chateau Saint Ulrich. Deffinitely reccomend to visit.

I debated hiking up to the castles because I only had my city boots, a lot of layers, and an 8oz bottle of water in my pocket. I'm so glad I decided to go! The castle ruins are breathtaking and fascinating. The hike up is well marked and easy if you are accustomed to exercise. Such a fantastic adventure going up there!

The 'Château du Giersberg' (old 'Petit-Ribeaupierre') is one of three castles which overlook the commune of Ribeauvillé in the Haut-Rhin, département of Haute-Alsace, France. It stands at an altitude of c.530 m. The Lords of Ribeaupierre built the castle, then named 'Stein in Rapolzstein', in the 13th century. They rebuilt it after a fire caused by lightning in 1288. — 68349V Ribeauvillé, FRANCE
