Every time I’m in the Marais for some shopping I end up having dinner here. I like dining in the lower area, it “ smells” so historical. I usually end up ordering two portions of lamb chops... Yes it’s that good

Great experience. Recommended by the late Anthony Bourdain, we loved this experience with the owner welcoming us, open fire in restaurant and amazing food. Steak, escargot, wine, and creme brulee were all fantastic.
Very nice meat place, portions are big and prices are reasonable (20 to 25 euros for the main dish). All is cooked in the wood fire which gives a nice taste. The staff is also very kind. It is worth a visit if you love meat. Make sure to book in advance.
If you are a lover of meat then, my friend, here is your little slice of paradise. An open flame grill sits inside what once was the fireplace in this small and happy restaurant in Rue Vieille-du-Temple. You cannot find a sad face in here, the customers are packed like sardines, elbow to elbow, and all are smiling and laughing. And how can you not be, when you are eating some honestly drool inducing beef, or lamb, well drowned by hearty red wines. The menu obviously focuses heavily on meat, including veal kidney. There are also some vegetarian choices, with omelettes and cheese. If you feel like an appetizer, they have different cold sausages, but also escargot. The only three side dishes are fresh green salad, sautéed potatoes, or green beans. The dessert list is short as well, but delicious. And the prices. Oh the prices are not to be believed. You will not find a place more honest than this. I cannot recommend it enough.

Absolutely brilliant experience. Amazing barbecued côte du boeuf served with sides and great wine. Really reasonable for Paris prices too. Full of locals. Can’t fault it! Magnifique!
Very good French restaurant specializes in meat and grill! Price is normal but the dish is sooo yummy! Cozy place with good service. Don’t forget to book your table because it’s centre Paris!
