A little far off usual Paris sights, but within walking distance from the centre, the beautiful and quiet house of the artist Rodin is mostly visited for “The Thinker” statue, but it contains other notable works of art, including some Impressionist Age masterpieces. The house itself was Rodin’s workshop. It is best visited in the quiet afternoon hours, when the dim natural light enter the high windows, to appreciate all the treasures in each room.

Incredibly intricate and interesting work by Rodin. Pay attention to all the details and allegory to hell and the afterlife presented. At the top, sits \The Three Shades\, meant to look down upon you as you pass through the gate and is recreated in large scale nearby.
Absolutely stunning to see La Porte de l'Enfer!!! My future home.
Great Thinker
Fantastic museum. Beautiful garden with many works related to The Gates of Hell. Well worth a vist. Relatively quiet.
A little oasis in the city - beautiful gardens housing Rodin sculptures and great exhibition at the time. Worth visiting
La Porte de l'Enfer mens the gate of Hell. \Le Penseur\, \Le Baiser\, \Ugolin\ and many other famous sculptures by Rodin are directly from \The Gate of Hell\, a monumental piece that has exerted enormous influence. The Musée Rodin in Paris devotes an exhibition to this masterpiece.
Wow! Just wow!!!
