CROUS was one of the worse experiences I had this year (and it's 2020 so the bar is pretty high for bad expriences). After a 32 hours flight I finally made it to Bordeaux and then to CROUS, but I couldn't sleep at all because the bed was infested with bedbugs. Next day I went to the reception to notify the situation, and the lady from the reception just started yelling at me and said that she could not do anything for me. She just gave me bags to put my clothes in and said she would call the fumigation team. After two weeks, I had NO information about this fumigation so I decided to go with a French friend (I don't speak French). The same lady said that she didn't have the fault that the fumigation team didn't answer and started yelling again at my friend. She said that if I wanted to leave I had to pay all the full month. IMPORTANT: I just spent (because I can not say I slept) one night in CROUS and she was there screaming that I had to pay all full two months. Long story short, I had to pay the two months and one of the happiest moments of this year was when I resign the contract with them. If you can avoid going to CROUS it will make you life much more happier. The place is disgusting and as an International student I was completly mistreated. I want to put (-5) stars but I can't, so I will put one. PLOT TWIST (2/December/2020) CROUS is charging me all September, October and November, even though I resigned.They did not even told me I had to pay that money (I JUST SLEPT THERE ONE NIGHT) and I revceived a message from the VISALE insurance that I would be under LEGAL problems because I was not paying the rent, but CROUS DID NOT TELL ME THAT I HAD TO PAY NOVEMBER. DON'T GO TO CROUS! AVOID BEING MISTREATED AND CHARGED!

Don't go there. I spent 2 months there before the confinement in building D, a room of 9m2. Initially, it was communicated that I would have access to a shared kitchen- however, I only was able to use a tiny malfunctioning hotplate in my room. Moreover, when I entered the room first, it was all dirty and not well cleaned at all. But when I left, the staff forced me to clean the whole studio for over one hour (every filter, walls, stains, etc. that was there long before I got there). Also, the staff is very unfriendly and did not assist me at all during these two months and before. My friend's hotplate did not work at all (Building B) and she had cockroaches- what the staff answered to that is simply outrageous: "it's normal to have bugs in nature". I advise anyone to start searching for a shared apartment or even a cheap airbnb, although 248 euros per month is really not much, I would not do it again.
Conveniently located, comfortable student lodgings but could do with a fresh coat of paint!

La note est représentative de mon expérience elle peut dépendre selon le bâtiment, les voisins etc etc C'est un très bon endroit, je ne suis pas difficile 9m² est un peu petit mais me suffise amplement sachant que je suis dans la partie rénové avec tout les services dans l'appartement. Je regrette cependant un bruit incessant dû au restaurant universitaire en dessous pas à cause des étudiants mais directement du restaurant. Autre problèmatiques qu'il est à noter est la présence de moustiques qui est plutôt élevé je trouve, l'achat d'une moustiquaire est donc indispensable.
