The best student residence ever! (At least from 2006-2008)

I know that the beautiful view of the alps and the low price seem appealing, but this residence is absolutely horrifying. Think again, it is cheap for a reason. The buildings are old and in bad condition. The position is ridiculous (you will have to climb for at least half an hour, in winter, and possibly a few times with luggage). "Turkish toilets" are not even produced in Turkey anymore, it is seen as primitive and outdated... It's like a joke. I am saying that as a Turkish person. There is even more, the officers are straight up hostile, they claimed that I did not pay the deposit. And when I tried to show the proving document the "gentleman" in the bureau just said "it's none of my business". Maybe they are only hostile against a certain group of students, I don't know. If you are offered this residence, don't hesitate to insist on changing it.

Very calm and clean place with beautiful city view
I am spending a great time in this residence. Is one of the best ones. It is true that the rooms or the kitchens are not very big, and we have to walk uphill 10 minutes for getting here, but the life here is very good. People is really nice, there are many parties, we have a bar that opens on Fridays and Wednesdays, views are great, I have gone many times to la Bastille at night with friends after the bar... I wouldn't go to another residence if I could. Concerning about the installations and this stuff, I would say that kitchen are correct, rooms too, showers not so good but we can manage. About the famous toilets, a hole in the floor, in my case I have no problem, I am totally used to it and I really don't care. I just had to accept the humiliation of taking a dump squat jejej. There is also a small indoors football/volleyball/basketball field, a small library and a gym. Finally, I would say that the going up to Rabot is not so bad, you really get used to it, and most of the times you can take the bus (40). In fact, the residence is quite near to downtown, where is almost everything for hanging out, while there are some residence that you have to walk 30min for arriving at the center of the city.
Great View of the city. Great facilities. Just a little distance from the city center. When u miss a bus you need to climb the hill
Except the toilets the residence is perfect. Specially the breathtaking view of the alpes! Students are also very friendly here.
