Excellent! We stayed in a studio for two child, which had an extremely well equipped kitchen (just no oven, bear in mind, but everything else necessary and even more). The place has a small shop offering breakfast in the morning. The ski rental is also inside the residence, which is super convenient. The staff has been very kind and elpful - at the reception, but also the shop and ski rental. We also enjoyed Vallorcine very much, a calm place yet with a ski school where we subscribed our daughter and a very good cross country course. Close to Chamonix for a quick day trip to a busier atmosphere.

Spent one night only (Saturday/Sunday). Nice resort, excellent service, excellent products available on the spot from the grocery. Room nicely and conveniently fitted, clean. Beds are comfy. Nicely situated with possibility to go to Chamonix or start but also to start excursions right from Vallorcine. Nice restaurants nearby.

Modern apart hotel ideal for families with young children. Situated close to the ski lift of one of the most jaw dropping ski runs at over 2800m above ground Staff are helpful and polite and amenities for kids are good. One must keep in mind that typical hotel services could be missed such as room service and housekeeping. Big bonus are the videos on demand free of charge. Rooms are suitably designed however poor quality mattresses and pillow textures make for sleepless nights and big minus to the quality of stay at La Residence.

Monic on reception so helpful. Delighted with apartment which is spacious, comfortable and traditional French style. Amazing views and away from busy tourist area. Will visit again.love hearing the birds and rushing river water. Perfect for families.

The good points (some among many): -\u003e The appartment I rented there (for 8 people) was well equiped and clean. -\u003e The indoor swimming pool is nice, and so is the gym. -\u003e The residence is located at the center of the village at 5 minutes of the train station. The negative points (all that I can think of): -\u003e The spa facility of the residence was closed this summer. -\u003e Some of the beds were not very comfortable. -\u003e The laundry of out wing of the residence only comprised 1 wash machine and 1 dryer.

Our annual ski vacation accidently fell on the same dates as the French winter vacation, we booked this place in advance but were unable to book ski lessons for the kids as the ski school does not pick up the phones or replies to e-mails. The rooms are small and ill equiped, the reception is hostile and impolite, don't forget to bring toilet paper and soap, edible restaurants are several minutes drive away so always come with a car The ski lanes are very limited so you have to drive to Chamonix or take a train that comes every hour The pool is nice For us it's a definite pass, but it is a cheaper version for a ski vacation

We loved our stay in Vallorcrine, even in the off-season! The apartment was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and the children’s play space with our little guy. We hope to be back!

Excellent facilities, even more excellent reception staff. Very reasonably priced. The ski hire is right next door, ski school just across the road. We have a pool, sauna, games room, patisserie onsite. Everything is clean and well maintained. What a great little spot.
