Beautiful medieval church on Santiago de compstela pilgrimage route. ..free parking to walk up the hill. Enter through the old gateway and go back in time to the high middle ages. Enter the cathedral and you can imagine the many thousands who have been before...just beautiful. Lovely wee village with lots of little cafe's and restaurants.. Lovely artisan exposition showcasing local handicrafts near the car park.

Saint-Bertrand de Comminges is an oasis of rest and contemplation. Overviewing the Valley below you feel like one of the dukes of the middle ages. It's great. Overwhelming. You should have been there at least once.

Beautiful place! Breath-taking, amazing organ, huge cathedral. I recommend taking the guide pens, you can rent them next to the church. You get to know a lot more about the history and the construction of the place. The pens are available in multiple languages. If you're lucky, someone may be playing the incredible, famous organ of the church. You can't take pictures inside the cathedral.

This cathedral is the setting of M.R.James' famous horror story \Canon Alberic's Scrapbook

This cathedral is beautiful, both inside and out. You can see part of it for free, but I recommend spending the extra to see the gardens, choir stalls, altar and museum area. The town is also worth a visit.

This cathedral is totally anomalous because it is a huge structure in a small, beautifully situated village. With Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance elements, it seems an unlikely survivor over centuries of turmoil in the region. This treasure is not far from the automotive from Tarbes to Toulouse and has not been overrun by tourism. We went in April on a local recommendation and hope future visitors enjoy discovering the cathedral's many treasures for yourselves.
