Great little zoo, not too big not too small. The fact that this is a refuge really shows, good living conditions for the animals and quite a big variation of animals. What is really nice as well is all the stories of how the animals got to the refuge. Gives you a bit of an insight and connected feeling.

Brilliant place for a nice few hours outing for all the family

Pretty nice little animal refuge/zoo. They had more animals than I would have thought from their website. Not too busy.

Being able to read the stories behind why the animals were there, added to a great visit.

What a lovely place. Rescued animals on the road to recovery and a better life. Don't expect a zoo type place with animals putting on shows as this isn t that at all. One down side during our visit was the restaurant was closed for the week

Had a really enjoyable afternoon. Although its a little tired in places, generally the animals seemed well cared for. All the animals were rescued or donated so places like this need our support. Reasonably priced compared to some places.

Obviously they are doing a good job rescuing animals, but some of the cages are too small, especially for the Leopard which is showing clear signs of distress (pacing in the same area). That said, theirs a new building going up, so they are in the process of expanding. I hope that will lead to more space for the Leopard which desparetely needs it. Of course these things cost a lot of money, which I appreciate doesn't grow on trees! Also I don't understand why some of the bird cages for the non birds of prey aren't opened up internally. That wouldn't cost much at least.
