Absolutely lovely site, really friendly staff and great amenities. The farm was great for our little one and the restaurant was fantastic.

Lovely little camp site with extremely nice and friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. Not many English people when we stayed but that's not necessarily a bad thing when you're visiting a foreign country. The kids loved the park, small farm area and the bouncy castle as well as both of the pools although the weather wasn't very good when we were there so the outside pool wasn't used. The food in the restaurant is superb for the cost. The selection on the menu isn't huge but what there is, is really tasty. It's not quite as good as some of the bigger camp sites in the region and is a little basic, but for a cheap week away with the kids with the beach nearby, you'll struggle to beat it.

This is mostly a very good campsite, if you looking for a family friendly experience with younger children. The children loved the pool, the slides, the mini farm and the playground. There is a lovely atmosphere on the site, and the staff are friendly, welcoming and accomodating. We have an ACSI card, and we were only offered pitches at the back of the site (I'm not sure if this is because we used ACSI). The road is very narrow and winding with deliberate obstacles put in the road to slow traffic (and endanger your caravan!). The pitch was small and very difficult to navigate into. The sanitaires were fine. The nearby town is really just a sleepy village, but the campsite is a short drive to Jard-sur-Mer and La Tranche-sur-Mer, and many other nice areas too. The restaurant and bar on-site are good and well-provisioned. I did not see a grocery. The owners are friendly and are on site most of the day and evening . The animation program is very good, and all on French (I need to improve my French so that we can participate!). There are two kids sessions every day, often a mini disco in the evenings, and we saw adult/family events like table quizzes and bingo.

Good holliday at Grand Metarie. We have a very nice stay at Camping Grand Metarie for about 12 days. The people are friendly, the accomodation clean and all facilities are there to have a great holliday. We were with kids 2, 7 and 8 years old and they all have a very good time. The swimming pool is very nice for that age. The beach is about 5 km away. Also a lot of other 'things to do' are within a few kilometers. We were very satisfied!

Great camping site and great value for money. Super for young kids we have a 4 and a 6 year old. Kids really love the swimming pool and playground area. Also great experience walking around in the small farm pen. I though it was cool seeing corn, pumpkins, mange tout, mint, strawberry and sunflowers growing all around the camp site and telling the kids what they are. Five minutes drive to jard Sur Les mare for the big super market and beach. And in the other direction you have le Rocher plage really big beach with plenty to explore. This area has all a young family needs. The restaurant can get alittle over run at times but nice to chill out with an affluent or 2! Really authentic french camping experience not many English speakers but most of the staff can. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back next year! It's also cool seen the mascot appear around 9pm to entice people to the various show they have on each night.
