I love Espace Montagne SMH..... or Space Mountain ...great choice of high quality brands... 22 june 2020
Visited this amazing store early on an Monday morning, just when the opened. I located the store because it is one of the few stores where you can properly get a professional bootfitter to look at your feet in order to purchase the correct ski boots. After wandering around the ski boots, a very friendly gentleman assisted me and measured up my feet. Due to impossible sizing and width of my feet they unfortunately didn't have my size for the correct pair of boots (Super wide, Very High and Long). The gentleman kindly advised me with the correct pair, and listed the stores (which were not affiliated with Espace Montagne at all) where I could find these. I ended up purchasing them at a store near Lyon the same day. Unfortunately it was too late to do bootfitting in the Lyon store so I returned the next day to Espace Montagne, to find Franck! Franck heared my story, took his time and started the bootfitting process as if I was going to buy the pair at their store. The process took a little less than an hour (bootfitting both the inside and outside shoe), with extreme expertise of what was necessary and what would have to be done. After the bootfitting the shoes were absolutely perfect, only thanks to the extremely knowledgeable, professional and kind staff at Espace Montagne Grenoble! Will definitely return when I am ready to buy ski's!
Great place for shopping everything you need for any sport or activities in the mountains! From pro skiing to hiking, from clothing to equipment this is the place to go, also they rent skis for a very good price, even better if you are have the u-glisse card! Great attention, overall great store!

This place is great. From an entire ski wardrobe for my daughter to a backpacking stove, and a new ice axe, the experts not only give me great advice and service, they help me in English when my French isn't sufficient. This region has many outdoor opportunities, and Espace Montagne has the right gear and knowledge to help you out. The employees, led by the management staff, are excellent and can answer all your questions about gear and local outdoor knowledge in both French and English. Go here, you will love it.
