There are long queues here on Sunday afternoon and the cost is 4,50E per adult, children free. Generally people are wearing masks but not keeping distance from each other especially in the queue where it seems the elderly are pushing up close behind those in front. You would have thought the elderly wouldn't be in such a rush to see burial sites. Ha ha! After going in, we thought it was well restored but not much to see and quite busy. The shop seemed to be the biggest attraction for most people suffering crowds and queues. We did get a cucumber from the garden for 1E which is nice, though there were no gardens to tour. Overall, nice but underwhelming and over crowded.
Interesting monument, nice place to visit
Beautiful historic place! Must see especially because the way to this abbey by boat is beautiful as well.
Quick to visit, but worth making the detour. Amazing architecture inside.
Great place to visit and has some interesting history. Ideal place also for a short walk and to take photos from the pier. I did expect to be able to see more of the grounds and for the tour to last a little longer, but it was not a problem really.
Beautifully maintained Abbaye in a stunning location.
It was a pleasure to visit Abbaye d Hautecombe such a peaceful place to contemplation and prayer..
