I spent a wonderful week with Anne-Laure in Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion (one day excursion). Anne-Laure introduced me to every charm of the historic cities through various activities and integrated those into French conversation lessons. I am in A1/A2 level on a grammar book. On the first day of the immersion course, French words did not easily come out from my mouth, but the last day of the stay, simple but enough communicable French sentences came out smoothly - Thanks to Anne-Laure! She is an excellent French teacher as well as an exceptional cuisinière. I will highly recommend a French immersion stay with Anne-Laure and S.I. immersion.

This was a great experience, mixing a vacation with learning a new language. It was a great way to really get involved for the first time in learning a new language. The meals were amazing, country side beautiful and the lessons in French tailored to my level for maximum learning speed. I leave France having progressed more than I thought possible and able to communicate in French.
My husband and I learned SO much from Françoise! She is a patient and so kind instructor, very clear and with excellent materials and games to help us learn. AND she took us to many beautiful places in the Luberon and cooked excellent Provençal meals. We would love to come back!
I spent an enjoyable week with Claude and her husband Jean Paul. Claude is an outstanding french teacher, a real pro. We explored several sites in Normandy, France, most of which were quite interesting. I am a B1/B2 level french speaker. Claude identified my weak areas and developed a program where I saw improvement. Plus, I ate like a king and was treated from the beginning as a member of the family. Overall, a truly educational and fun experience! Try it!
Unfortunately, because of the pandemic closures it was impossible to go to France. Instead, a 6 hour course via Zoom with Isabelle was offered. Isabelle is an excellent teacher, creative, patient, and encouraging. I recommend her highly.
I have delayed my immersion experience until 2021 because of COVID, but in the meantime, I'm very much enjoying a weekly one-hour online immersion with Francoise. She's patient and responds with great materials for conversation as well as grammar and pronunciation improvement. I hope to be more fluent for my immersion stay next year so that I'm more comfortable with listening comprehension then. I highly recommend the online course while waiting for immersion in France. And thanks and kudos to Celtina for graciously assisting with the postponement of my plans for this year. Thanks all!
I am excited about learning French with Celtina / S.L.Immersion. Sadly, COVID prevented me from travelling to France this year (2020). Despite this, I am already hearing and learning French because Celtina provided me with excellent resources, ideas and encouragement. I look forward to going to France and learning much more! Celtina meets student needs in every possible way, including by attention to their dietary preferences, individual learning needs and cultural interests. Celtina spent a great deal of time designing just the right experience for me. She answered all of my questions very promptly and thoroughly and devoted a lot of time to ensuring everything possible was in place for me. When I discovered that I could not travel, S.L.Immersion gave me a full refund. I eagerly look forward to the day I can undertake my immersion program with S.L.Immersion!
Excellent teaching by Claude Gamelin, with truly interesting conversations over dinner and during the day, in addition to the classes. The course met my specific needs, which were related to upcoming work responsibilities, and I also learned so much about French history and culture. I highly recommend this immersion study.
