The Reserve in St. Maxime was recommended to us by an elderly couple who have been coming to this restaurant for 35 years. So we did go there and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is a cosy and stylish place with great wine and deicious food. The staff is very friendly and attentive and always happy to help. It is wise, however, to make a reservation one day in advance, otherwise it will be hard to get a table since it is very popular with tourists as well as locals.

This restaurant is expensive - which is fine. My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years coming here. This last visit the food was so bad - we had prawns - they were old and tasted moldy. When mentioning this the restaurant just shrugged shoulders and ignored our requests for edible food . The bill came at full price and we did not eat any of our meal as it was disgusting. This restaurant relies on it's location - BUT I would ABSOLUTELY recommend ALL tourists keep well away from this pretentious, uncaring ,condescending restaurant with LOUSY food.

We had a Bouillabaisse there last night with four people, which is always an amazing experience. It satisfies your seafood craving and makes you a better person. They come with a plate of seafood and filet everything before ladling a generous scoop of broth on top. Served with garlic-cheese breads.

I am going there since 25 years. Quality was always perfect. Bouillabaisse is absolute recommendation. Although every year more expensive but worth the money. Wine pricing is fine. Good choice of various dishes. Nice service. But ensure you make a reservation a day before.
