My knives just arrived. The processing of the order and the shipping worked well. The knives (Le Thiers nature, Le Thiers pocket) are beautiful, and - as far as I can judge as a layman - tip top craftsmanship. A very nice Christmas present. Thank you so much!

Exceptional product. I have one at my home. I have given two others as personalized birthday gifts for good friends. It just blows people away to see a custom piece of functional art with their name on it. One note is that these corkscrews are exceptionally good at opening larger bottles due to the wide prongs on the lever.

I purchased a Thiers Nature knife recently from Fontenille Pataud, and am very impressed with it. The workmanship is superb, and the chiseling of my initials on the backspring was masterfully done. I chose the boxwood handle, as it is a traditional material, and something I find attractive. It is a locking knife, and the mechanism works flawlessly. The blade, with the excellent 14C28 steel, is easy to pinch open, and the lock is secure. There is no blade play. I find the size (11.5 cm closed) perfect for my hand. The blade came very sharp, and there is a blade stop which prevents the blade from hitting the backspring. The knife has very good balance, and is excellent as a steak knife or a picnic knife. The design is very elegant. I could not be more pleased. There are many lovely knife patterns featured on the website, and I plan to buy a few more knives. The owner is easy to communicate with, and service was excellent. I highly recommend Fontenille Pataud.

I ordered a Laguiole Le Pocket Guilloche Range Phosphorescent folder with Special RWL 34 steel and extra File Work on blade and liners back on August 13, 2020. The turn around at that time door to door was a little over a month from France to the US. The cost was 340.10 Euros which translated to 417.43 for me. A goodly amount of my out of pocket was currency conversion and shipping from where Fontenille Pataud produces these awesome knives to where my body is in the US. I've let the dust settle from the purchase, but my feeling remains unchanged from when the folder arrived. The currency exchange and shipping to my mind was not \lost.\ The blade smiths at Fontenille Pataud know what they're doing. They rendered full value to my payment. The fit and finish and the materials used in making my folder are exquisite. The blade lock up is awesome. The knife in hand radiates a feeling of quiet elegance; it has a look of long time class, not passing fad. Of course, the Swedish stainless is sharp and the file work on my model, too perfect. For individuals with deep enough pockets, it would make a super groomsmen gift or perhaps father or father-in-law. Or, ahem, one's self. It is heirloom quality to pass on to a child or grandchild who would grasp what they're getting.

I have bought two knives from Fontenille Pataud, a couple of years apart. The workmanship is the absolute best I have experienced. There is nothing to improve. Yann Belarboulas provides the very best customer service. He will help create the knife, that is right for you. I will definitely continue buying their beautiful knives. I give Fontenille Pataud and Yann my highest recommendation.
