Restaurants open during inter-season. I had a fabulous ice-cream whilst I walked along the promenade with my dog. Lovely grassed area for a picnic.

Fantastic location. Great bars and restaurants. Easy access to town centre via funicular.
Lovely place to visit with a beautiful vista across to Switzerland.... Downside I could only find parking for a maximum stay of 2h and 30 minutes in the waterfront.

So relaxed, specially the small fishing huts.
Vibrant lakeside port with a plage (4.50 entry) swimming pools, diving platform, bar restaurant. Promenade along the lake side to terraced cafés and funicular railway up to Thonon centre. Easy to kill a sunny day here just taking it all in or catch a ferry over to Lausanne. Personally, I like to go wakeboarding :)
Once this was a less commercialised area, but it's still a pleasant place to visit and have lunch
