Interesting and fascinating place to visit, free parking nearby but the entry ticket is quite expensive considering that the place is not that big. There was a guided tour and we followed it but it was very crowded and we couldn't hear very well what the guide said although he explained well. There is also a rundown castle but a fence doesn't allow getting close to it.

A really well conserved troglodytic village, with its history unrolling before our eyes. The site is in very good condition and regular guided tours are organized. Clearly worths the stop.

Such an interesting site! If you are fascinated by human evolution, this is for you. The entire region is like a stepping stone to each age and this is one that shouldn't be missed.

Had an English guidebook nice shop. Lovely views over the river and valley. Interesting architectural designs and even the rock face was interesting. It's very relaxing and calm while very informative with all the important information in french and English. There were French tour guides don't think there were many English but if your English you just roam about and see everything. You can get some amazing photos here, it's a photographer's dream even with a phone camera it's absolutely stunning, I uploaded all of mine to Google maps if you want to see.

An impressive site, with lots of things to see and learn. The guide we had was nice but talked really a lot, so prepare for standing still for a long time, and be sure to understand French. I think the guided visit would be better if the story was a bit more concise.

Great attraction! We were there during a heat wave. We received a free drink from the counter at the entrance, against drying out! Wow ... what a good customer service! Very friendly! Entrance prices are fine. We also get a guide book. which gave enough info at our own language. The view is great! Great vista over the river. The castle ruins are also very nice. Castle itself you can not enter. But the smaller buildings/area under the cliff (bellow) you can! With these buildings also a small church. You can walk around the castle (top) where you find a vista with some benches. We loved it here!

Superb tour, so much history, beautifully laid out and explored at your own leisure. It’s clear to see what attracted people in 20000 years ago to this place. Low entrance fee makes for a great visit. This site combines prehistoric times with a medieval castle, great way of exploring human habitation through the several ages. A must see!
