Lieu d'after work
For a beer-centric bar in the middle of wine country, it does the job, but don't expect to be wowed by anything. It's in a strip mall building, and has that boxy, cookie cutter feel. Overlighting doesn't help either. Even though the place was packed, it didn't have much ambiance. The terrace section did look nice, though. Beer selection is okay, on draft you'll find basic beers from the InBev catalog. Bottle selection has a few good choices, lots of German and Belgian classics. They did have a few local options, but didn't seem particularly interested in promoting them. My server didn't seem to know or care much about them, which is disappointing. I ordered a mixed charcuterie and cheese plate, it was pretty good.
