Crucifix Corner is an Anglo/French Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery situated just south of Villers-Bretonneux. It's within a stones throw of the A29 autoroute to the north but is bordered on the other three sides by farmland and open countryside. The cemetery contains 660 Commonwealth burials, including many Canadians and Australians, and 141 French burials. It's rather nice to see the French graves with the same flower beds as the Commonwealth ones (if you've ever visited a French military cemetery, you'll understand why I've said this) . Instead of the usual rubble or brick wall bordering the cemetery, Crucifix Corner has a thick hedge, which again is rather nice. Access is via a decent unpaved road and there's plenty of room to park. The Australian National Monument to the North of Villers-Bretonneaux is only about a 10 minute drive away.
