Famous for it's Chapel and Donjon. Interesting sight. The castle grounds are free to roam about but the the two entioned before need a ticket you can get either online or on site. Easily accessible by metro at the station with the same name.

this was an awesome place to stumble upon unexpectedly when i chose to get off on a random stop while riding the metro. i highly suggest visiting here because the metro is just a block away, it couldn't be closer! there is a charge (heads up) but it's nice to see this place from the inside out and all that it does have available for you to see
14th century fortress/castle, well maintained considering the age, for accessing the enceinte it's necessary to use the stairs. Consider at least 1h30 for the visiting the whole castle (enceinte and the keep/ donjon) The chapel was unfortunately closed.
Vincennes castle is a great place to walk and visit inside. This is also a particular area as the French president go to here if some security issues for specific threats.

A hidden gem on the outskirts of Paris. While there is no shortage of eye candy in Paris, this short excursion is well worth the trip. You will have the castle mostly to yourself (at least we did on a Tuesday afternoon) and picture opportunities are plentiful. Admission? Free. Some of the individual structures require a small fee, but there is plenty to keep you busy if you rather slide in and out without parting with a single Euro. If you want to do a little shopping, their small but charming gift shop is reasonably priced and had a great selection of memorabilia. Let the pictures speak for themselves.
The park and area is very nice and open. First time in the area and it was really nice. There was a peacock!!
