Just received a package in Greece, with the following chocolates, as seen on the photo. I have just tried the yellow one and I can not describe how I felt. First of all, you do not bite it, you just let it melt in your mouth. After I had a couple of pieces by jaw went numb and the hair in my body stood up. It has been now 10 mins later and the feeling is still there. This is the reason I HAD to write this review. Everyone should taste this and experience true chocolate bliss. I can not describe the feeling and the sensation. After you try Bonnat chocolates, all other chocolates feel like a very cheap imitation.

I will admit, I am very biased. Bonnat has been my overall favorite chocolate brand going on more than 11 years now. When the opportunity came up to be in Europe, I just had to make the long trek from London to the headquarters in Voiron, France. The storefront was clean and we'll arranged, though a bit smaller than I expected. The real magic happens in the back, so this was not a problem. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to my lack of French beyond the usual \please\ and \thank you\ that we tourists come to learn. I had the great Fortune of meeting members of the Bonnat family and was treated kindly and generously even to a selfish request or two. I think going to and shopping at Bonnat is a must if you are in Voiron. They make world class chocolate but are still a humble, hard working family that has been making chocolate at the same building since 1884.
Quite simply the best chocolate you can buy anywhere. One of a few chocolate makers that make their chocolate from cocoa beans directly and not from couverture. 20 or so single origin chocolates. The factory shopfront near Grenoble is a charming tea room and pastry shop. Their cakes are fantastic: Sphynx and Succès the top specialties.
