Really interesting tour with a friendly tour guide who was very knowledgeable. Able to taste the champagne following the tour and we liked it so much we bought so bottles! Would highly recommend. Also a bonus that they’re open at weekends when many other champagne houses and tours are unavailable or closed.

It’s definitely worth the walk from the Main Street in Épernay to visit Alfred Gratien. They have gone back to storing the wine in oak casks the first months instead of stainless steel. It gives the champagne more character and an edge I haven’t found in any other. I’ve found my new favourite Champagne

Such a lovely experience; the staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the champagne was unique and delicious. AG is one of the few producers who still use oak barrels, and that really comes out in the taste.
DEFINITELY STOP HERE!! A very relaxed yet prestigious cave! Amanda was a great guide explaining all the details of champagne production. We had a tour for just our family and the tasting options were explained well and tasted amazing too :)
