From Place de la République it looks like a a minor basilica with such exuberance entrance with ionic orders columns. Inside is a modest nave but with spectacular side chapel, especially the Pietà chapel and the Queen of the most Holy Rosary chapel. Even the baroque pulpit is so flamboyantly decorative. It's quite compact inside yet packed with stunning chapels. The cloisters with its spectacular but peaceful setting is filled with shops and a central courtyard garden. When I was here you could hardly manoeuvre around the the aisle of both the Chapel and the cloisters next door. I guess it says something about the popularity of this chapel. It belongs to the Civil Hospices of Lyon and sometimes commonly referred to as chapel of the Hotel Dieu and sometimes Hôtel Dieu Church for its association with the Saint Bonaventure Basilica. Highly recommended to visit, suitable for all ages and backgrounds.

La Chapelle s'inscrit dans le vaste ensemble de l'hôtel Dieu. La façade a été entièrement rénovée. La porte est remarquable. L'intérieur est en cours de rénovation et on peut déjà admirer trois chapelles déjà rénovées. A voir absolument!
