Fantastic family-friendly retreat! We stayed in one of the wooden 4-person Cabins, and it was great for our family of 5 (with room for a standard travel cot between the single beds in one of the bedrooms). The views from our cabin were exceptional, uninterrupted, over the French countryside. As well as the cabin being great, there are lots of extras that we didn't fully appreciate when we booked : tennis courts, swimming pool, sauna, "The lodge" (with complimentary tea and coffee), an honesty bar, a playroom for children with classic games, a play barn, a whole barn full of bikes for anyone to use (no rental costs), and play areas for kids (swings, bows and arrows, boules etc.) as well as friendly goats, chickens, rabbits, horses, donkeys in the grounds. So brilliant! We will be back.
Loved our stay here. Such friendly staff and the cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. Pool was great. Animals wandering around were so lovely and I loved our own little goat Chausettes. Great place to come if you have young kids. A little assault course as well to amuse them.
Our stay at Country Lodge was the perfect start to our summer holiday in France. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and relaxed. Our children (8 and 5 years old) loved having the freedom to explore the site where they constantly found new areas to entertain themselves. Table tennis and archery were readily available and there were bikes of all different sizes available to borrow. We loved watching the free-roaming chickens with their chicks and being able to collect fresh eggs in the morning was a real treat. The swimming pool was a welcome relief during our stay as the weather was very hot. The cabin we stayed in was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Overall the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We can't wait to return.
