I stayed there for one night only during my visit in Nice. At first I wasn't sure what kind of room will I get. I was also skeptical of the roommates also. The regular check in time was from 15h but front desk manager let me in at around 13h30. So I took a little nap in between time and later went out fresh. The people I met were awesome thoroughly. However at the night there was no electricity in the hotel because of the construction work outside. The bed were very comfy and the cleaning was good in the hotel. The main plus point is this hotel is in the heart of city center. Trams and trains were just walk away. And also plenty of restaurants. I'll come back for sure in this hotel in my next visit. Not only the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms, sheets, bathrooms and all is clean. The Common area even through these crazy C19 times, is so cozy with music, ping pong and table football.
The staff was kind, considerate and understanding to the current travel restrictions due to covid. Diana, the receptionist was particularily skilled at ensuring guests that all safety measures were in place and strictly enforced. She slso emitted a calm smile for guests at check in and any problem was quickly resolved. She would be an asset to any hotel as an emplyoyee. The manager Florian arranged and printed my PCR test results. Very kind and therefore this place is highly recommended for any hostelers visiting Nice this summer.
I love the table tennis table!! It's a pity that sometimes, the table got used as a table instead. But you should definitely play a round of table tennis or two - a great way to make new friends at the hostel. That's how I've met some good roommates during my stay, and really enjoyed playing table tennis with them. I think that's the one feature that stands out for me at this hostel. The vibe at the hostel is very laid-back, and a good place to meet strangers and become friends there on. However, I think the triple deck beds are a disaster for those fear of heights. On my first day, I was given the topmost deck, and it was a scary experience climbing up and down. I immediately requested to change to the bottom bed the next day. I don't think I could survive my week-long stay without any accidents if I had continued to sleep on the topmost deck. In addition, perhaps, the hostel can consider installing a laundry room, so guests can wash and dry their laundry at the hostel.
The staff was very kind and they had board games and a ping pong table to kill time. The breakfast was good value for money. Also, I'd say it's kid-friendly. However, I'd reserved two beds in a 6-bed room, but got into a 4-bed one during the check-in; and the room was rather small. All in all, it was a good experience and I certainly don't regret having stayed at this place.
We had to come here after staying at the nearby cockroach infested Hotel Lyonnais. Despite costing a bit less then the other hotel, this one was worth it. Nice clean rooms with a working lift unlike the other hotel. When we came there was scaffolding around the hotel but we'd rather have that instead of cockroaches. The hot drink machine in reception wasn't the best but it was better than some coffee shops nearby, it was also at no cost so no complaints there. We would definitely stay here again if we ever went back to Nice. The receptionist was also much more friendly than the other place.
Including all aspects of the hostel and my experience of traveling- I have to say that this was one of the best hostel that I’ve stayed in very long time. There are possibly 5 hostels that I would come back and this one is one of them. The staff is very helpful, hostel is clean. The bed was clean and all the sheets were fresh and nicely prepared. The only thing you need to mind is that the room is small but they have made it very comfortable, so I did not minded it. In addition to everything, the hostels location.
Nice cozy hostel with clean rooms and excellent location in the Centre of Nice. Rooms slightly noisy but not bothersome. Family room on the small side but next time we reserve the attic for a little more space. We'll come back.
