Beautiful rooms, each with a different wall paper and character. My room was facing the street, had a lovely sitting room and spotless private bathroom. The vintage bed was comfortable. One thing was that church bells (two churches near the inn: one Catholic and the other Protestant) seemed to ring anytime of the day from 7am until 8pm, but I guess it’s part of the small-town charm. I don’t know about now, but there was no elevator in this old inn when I stayed several years ago. The staircase had sharp turns. No porter, so if you bring big suitcases, be prepared to haul them up by yourself at least up two flights of stairs, if you’re lucky. The most memorable part of my stay was the elegant and delicious breakfast. Besides the buttery croissant (only one per person), there was sweet juice of white muscat grape from the inn’s vineyard and the day-fresh, buttery and moist kougelhopf (an Alsatian cake) made in-house. Charm and elegance describe this inn. Within a short walking distant from the inn, there’s a California redwood tree supposedly transplanted by Napoleon III when he went abroad to the Americas in the 19th century.

Accueil chaleureux, exceptionnel. Maison alsacienne très joliment décorée, avec beaucoup de goût. Calme et sérénité assurés. Petit-déjeuner remarquable composé de produits maison et locaux. Je ne peux que recommander, et je compte bien revenir un jour !

Excelente ubicación, las habitaciones muy limpias, el salón de desayuno único con una decoración muy acogedora y las propietarias del lugar excelentes anfitrionas, súper amables y serviciales, lo recomiendo ampliamente!
