Quiet base with basic facilities. Helpful staff. Pizza can be ordered on board from nearby town.

Very picturesque base but not a lot around it. If you're not with locoboat you'll struggle to moor here. Showers and toilet are very basic and only available during locoboat staff hours. Small shop has very little in it and very over priced.

Recommend the negra to argens boat ride. The negra area is a bit dull which is perfect for getting used to the boat and the locks. By the time you get to castelandary you already feel comfortable enough with the boat to enjoy the beautiful ride to argens.

Negra is a secondary base for Locaboat. The facilities are rather basic and the reception is efficient but slightly brusque. These guys have a lot to do on boat handover days so don't expect a lot of chit-chat. But they will get you on the canal in a solid little boat. We had a great experience overall. Nearest supermarket is 5km away so come prepared.
