Excellent position for ski in and ski out. Rooms basic but clean and warm. Boot room very good with individual lockers. Food good in evening, basic breakfast but good enough. Second time here and will come again

Just had a week holiday there skiing, great slope side location with ski in /out, bar and restaurant are great, well presented, staff are friendly and helpful, food was of a good standard, accommodation is basic but comfortable with television in room and plenty of heat and hot water, would visit again
L'auguille Rouge is the perfect ski hotel, ski in on carpet and ski out. Basic, clean and comfortable rooms, buffet food and amazing salads with plenty of choice, wine included. Entertainment and v friendly helpful staff, cannot fault it and a great ski area!!
The good. Lovely views from the rooms which have a terrace. Great location for the runs and lifts. Good boot room with secure lockers for skis and boots which are very warm to dry your stuff out. Food is good apart from one instance detailed below. Lively entertainment. The bad. Room had a nasty, drain smell when We first arrived though it went after a while. No free WiFi. Bath about half the length of a normal bath so only really good for showering. Eating in the hotel restaurant, daughter found a metal foreign object in her chicken dinner. Looked like some sort of ID tag with a number on it. Pointed it out to waiter who took it away but no replacement chicken was forthcoming. No apology or anything. The room had not been cleaned after our first night. Reception said it was a “technical hitch” and gave us some fresh towels but could not provide any toilet roll, which we were out of. Had to go knocking on doors to scrounge some, rather embarrassing! Not a great introduction to the hotel. Luckily the skiing was fantastic!
Well located. Staff very friendly. Good food. Very good time over there.
The cutlery in the restaurant was dirty: Stains on all forks and knifes. The food was very boring and without taste. The bathroom was dangerous: Only a bathtub without safety mat. Waster temperature changed between way too hot and freezing cold. Stayed for a week. I will never visit again and cannot recommend this hotel to others.
Good location with direct access to slopes. Typical French satellite “village” with no atmosphere. Small Rooms in 80-style. Really REALLY bad food.
